These traditional style Himalayan Bowls from Nepal, are hand hammered. Each has its own unique sound. Feel free to sample the previews below. The recordings are .mp3, at 320, and are faded out after about 20 - 30 seconds for the sake of brevity here, but the actual sustain on each will play quite a bit longer. Each preview is played twice, once with a harder felt mallet and once with a softer mallet. We suggest listening in ear buds or head phones to hear the sounds best. If you wish to hear .aiff’s lmk. Each technique, as well as how, and where you play the bowl, will produce higher, deeper overtones. Also, your playing technique will have an effect on the rhythmic timbre and patterns of inherent beat tones, and how the bowl may interact with other singing bowls and instruments.
